Pentium Laptops – don’t be surprised when you hear this term as it does not pertain to a project management jobs brand of laptops known as Pentium – there is no such thing by the way.  But it is rather a name used to denote laptops that are have Intel Pentium processors running in them.

Pentium is a class of Intel’s technology on their microprocessor line.  There are many kinds of Pentium Processors.  The following are the Intel Pentium processors available on laptops today:

  • Pentium II – the first generation of Pentium processors that include slot adapters.  Processing speed for this processor is roughly 233 MHz to 450 MHz.
  • Pentium III – This is more like the Pentium I but with an added BIOS support and a slightly higher processing speed of 550 MHz.
  • Pentium IV – these processors are the most widely used processors not just for laptops but also for desktop computers as well.  The processing speed of these microprocessors are 1GHz
  • Pentium Pro – This is a chip is overly fast in Windows-32 bit software applications. This is also designed for high-end users.  This chip runs for about 166 MHz and higher.
  • Pentium with MMX – This processor can also be found on many laptops to further improve graphics and multimedia presentation.

Pentium processors in laptops have greatly revolutionalized how laptops work.  The most common Pentium processor for laptops though is the Pentium IV and the Pentium Pro processors.

When buying a laptop, it is not just important to consider the brand name of the laptop you are buying.  Aside from that you should also take into consideration factors such as IT Recruitment hard drive space, RAM, and most importantly the processor brand and the processing capability of your processor because it is the heart and the “bottleneck” of every application you perform on your laptop.  A good choice for a processor is an Intel’s Pentium processor, especially the Pentium IV and Pentium Pro ones for your laptops to make them exceptionally fast in catering to your business needs, for your gaming pleasure, for your net surfing and each of your computing tasks and more importantly, to make them dubbed as Pentium Laptops.
