Laptop Memory

Don’t every confuse laptop memory from your laptop hard disk.  Your laptop hard disk is a permanent storage for your files wherein you can save files, save your applications and save every data there is.  Storing something on your hard disk will guarantee that the files you stored will still be available even if IT Recruitment is restarted or shut down your laptop computer.  It is also available still even when you close the application.  On the other hand, your laptop computer memory is not capable of those actions.  The memory for your laptop is only capable of temporarily storing and allocating your files so that they may be properly executed.

The following are the types of laptop memories available:

  • SODIMM – Small Outline Dual Inline Memory Module, these are the memory most often  used by laptop computers as they are smaller than Dual Inline memory modules
  • SDRAM – Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory.  This memory is capable of delivering high data speeds through its synchronous interface.  The complete name for this memory is actually SDR SDRAM, meaning – single data rate synchronous dynamic random access memory.
  • DDR – The complete name for this memory is DDR SDRAM but has been commonly referred to as DDR meaning – double data rate.  This type of memory enables data sending on both rising and falling edges of the clock cycles

Laptop memory varies from laptop to laptop.  For an Acer brand of laptop, the only memory you buy for your Acer laptop is an Acer memory card.  Memory of laptops should always be compatible with project management jobs, the laptop brand you are using.  As it the memory will not work if it is not compatible with you laptop.  One of the best types of laptop memories to consider is the DDR or the double data rate SDRAM.  These DDR also are the best choice of memory when it comes to desktop computers.  Another thing to remember is that the memory for laptops are always enhanced and developed constantly to give way for memories with a higher capacity.  The higher the memory is, the better it is.
